_ Willow pities the affection of flowers, but it is all for talent, troubling the heart.
Spring has passed early, with flowers fading.
Unexpectedly, the whole spring has become an illness.
She laughs at herself, wondering why her waist has halved, tears falling frequently, hard to restrain.
Blaming the heavens, blaming herself too.
How can she escape from endless pondering?
She wants to confide in someone, but hesitates.
She has spent her whole life in sorrow and depression.
Yet fears that her sorrows will go unnoticed.
At this point, even the heavens pity her, observing her instability.

    Translation:
The grievances of a woman have no outlet,
Though endowed with talent by heaven and earth, it finds no resonance.
Her tender feelings, like willow catkins, sympathize with the love of flowers, but are plagued by her own talent, disturbing her heart.
Spring has just begun, yet the flowers have withered away,
She did not anticipate that the entire spring would become the root of her illness.
She laughs at herself, as her waist has halved and tears flow uncontrollably, difficult to suppress.
She blames the heavens and blames herself too,
How can she escape from endless pondering?
She wishes to confide in a trusted person, yet hesitates,
She has struggled with sorrow and depression throughout her life,
Yet fears that her sorrows will go unnoticed.
At this point, even the heavens begin to pity her,
Observing whether she can find stability or not.

    Poetic Meaning and Appreciation:
This poem expresses the deep anguish and helplessness within a woman's heart. Despite possessing talent and intelligence, she cannot find someone who appreciates her, leading to immense pain in her solitude. While she treats flowers with tenderness and affection, her own talent becomes a source of distress, causing her to suffer from the fading of spring. She laughs at herself, shedding precious tears amidst her laughter, unable to suppress her inner sadness. She blames fate and reproaches herself, entangled in endless contemplation. Although she desires to confide in a confidante, she hesitates, reluctant to share her burdensome sorrows with others. She has spent her entire life grappling with melancholy, fearing that her sorrows will go unnoticed by others. Towards the end, the poem mentions that even the heavens begin to pity her, yet her inner state remains unstable, lacking true tranquility.

The poem employs contrasts and delicate descriptions to portray the woman's inner conflicts and struggles. Through her monologue, it conveys her loneliness, pain, and helplessness. The juxtaposition of her talent and the discord with her destiny plunges her into deep contemplation and suffering. The poem also reflects the predicament and helplessness faced by women in feudal society.
